The majority of the grapes for this wine come from a family parcel of vines in the En Saussois vineyard, located next to the Climat Du Val just outside the village of Auxey-Duresses towards Saint-Romain. It lies at the bottom of the Bourdon hill and enjoys a southerly exposure. The vines are forty years old and grow in predominantly limestone soil, bringing power to the wine. A portion of grapes come from En Vireuil, behind Mont Mélian, bringing finesse and fruit to this Domaine Pascal Prunier-Bonheur Auxey-Duresses Rouge.
