Wines for the Spring Season

Fresh and vibrant does it in the Spring

We’re hoping for some good weather this spring to bring the gardens to life and start the ball rolling in the vegetable patch. So why not drink a few bottles of lively, white wines that will put a spring in your step too?

Here are 5 wines that we have chosen to enliven everybody’s palate.

Albarino – Terra de Asorei

This is a new Vintage of Albarino and it’s as fresh as a daisy. Crisp, lively and just the thing to get the juices going. (Currently out of stock, due to be available next week).

Muscadet Vieille Vignes – Chateau de la Ragotiere

The nose Chateau De La Ragotiere Muscadet is dominated by mineral aromas. It registers again on the lean, dry palate, where white fruit and floral flavours also develop. Finally, on the finish, this expressive cuvée reverts to the stoney, mineral characters so recognisable with Muscadet.

Pinot Blanc – Domaine Sipp Mack

Sipp Mack Pinot Blanc is open and fresh on the nose, with aromas of acacia flowers. Rich, floral flavours mix with peach and pear fruit and very food friendly thanks to its lovely balance.

Weisser Burgunder – Weingut Stadlmann

inviting aromas of pears, apricots and pineapple backed by some hints of cherry, chestnuts and honey. On the palate it shows some mineral characteristics thus making it an ideal food wine.

Verdejo – Valdelainos, Rueda.

Fennel, anise and hay aromas are enriched by subtle notes of tropical fruit. In the mouth this is a typically well-structured wine with bright acidity and an inviting fruitiness. A wonderful partner to many foods, but very easy to drink "au naturel"!
