Bourgogne Chardonnay Domaine Alain Chavy 2017
Domaine Alain Chavy Bourgogne Chardonnay 2017 displays a wonderful purity of ripe apple fruit with a bright, fresh mouthfeel. Creamy on the palate, firm and fresh and tight with citrus, vanilla and further apple notes. Juicy, with a long, fresh finish. This is a classy offering from Alain that offers great value for money too.

A great value Bourgogne Chardonnay from Alain Chavy, one of Burgundy's most established producers. The Chavy family have had roots in Puligny for 200 years but have traditionally sold their wine to negociants. In 1976 they started bottling under their own label.
Why we like this wine
Burgundy has become so expensive over the last few years that it is now so difficult to find a great example below the £20 price tag. This wine is mainly made from the young vines of Alain's estate in Puligny Montrachet and has all of the character that you would associate from Puligny but about half the price. Admittedly it's for early drinking and not for keeping too long but it's a classy offering and will be sure to delight.
- Proper white Burgundy
- Well bred and stylish
- Great value
