Champagne Guy Charlemagne Reserve Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs N/V
This Reserve Brut is the epitome of Blanc de Blancs Champagne and is the flagship of the Guy Charlemagne house. It is pale yellow in colour with a few green highlights and the steady stream of fine pearls makes the wine seem fine and bright. The nose is citrus with rose water and acacia notes too making the mouth water before it even gets there! On the palate it is creamy and it has exceptional length with the lime and pink grapefruit flavours lingering for an age. It is perfectly balanced and the freshness gives way to flavours of brioche and hazelnuts in the end. A real masterpiece and a most elegant and fine aperitif.

This Reserve Brut Cuvee is made from grapes purely from Le Mesnil sur Oger and Oger, the heart of the Grand Cru vineyards of the Cote des Blancs. Pure Chardonnay so lightness and finesse play the lead role here, it has a light dosage of just 6 grams of sugar. This gives it both longevity in the bottle and great subtlety on the palate. It was aged for a minimum of three years in the Charlemagne cellars.
A most harmonious wine that shouts of its origins. Full yet extremely elegant and fine, the minerality of the terroir shines through and the vivacity of the wine makes it the perfect aperitif. However, it is also and excellent partner to shellfish, seafood and white meats.
