Chateau-Fuisse Pouilly-Fuisse Tete De Cru is quite sweet and rich on the nose - very concentrated. The well-balanced palate is fresh, ripe and slightly honeyed on the entry, with crisp acidity and lovely touches of praline and spice lining the composed finish.

The Vincent family of Château-Fuissé has long been regarded as owning one of the greatest estates in Pouilly-Fuissé. This exemplary wine sums up all that is great in the Mâconnais.

Château-Fuissé Pouilly-Fuissé Tête De Cru is a blend of 20 wines grown on 40 different plots of clay-limestone soils. Plots in Pouilly, with a high limestone content in the soil, contribute intense perfume yet more delicacy in the mouth. Those in Fuissé, where clay is more prominent, are less aromatic but fuller, more solid and structured. The average age of the vines is 30 years and 20% is fermented in stainless steel tanks, the rest in barrels. Depending upon the vintage, 20-30% of the barrels are new.
