Chateau Pibran - Cru Bourgeois Pauillac 2009

£47.00

Wow, what a great wine. Only designated as a cru Bourgeois but drinking better than many a classified growth, Chateau Pibran comes from the Pichon Baron stable and benefits from the same exacting standards. A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is relatively powerful with good intensity of black fruits especially blackcurrant. Ripe and silky on the palate there is a good core of extract with some fine, ripe tannins. A terrific wine and very well priced for the quality.
