Ciabot Berton Barolo Rocchettevino 2012
Ciabot Berton Barolo Rocchettevino 2012 has a perfect blend of fruit and spice on the nose; ripe, open and full of cherry and rose aromas. Just starting to come into its own, but don’t feel that you need to be a rush to drink this Barolo as there’s plenty of life left in it yet.

From a single vineyard that sits at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level, this Ciabot Berton Rocchettevino Barolo is a magnificent offering from Marco and Paola Oberto. 2012 was a ripe vintage with a hot summer, but thanks to the cool nights a freshness was retained within the wine and, although it has spent two years in oak, the large 50hl botti have added balance rather than flavour.
2012 Roccettevino Platinum Medal and Best in Show - Fragrant notes of florals and red fruits with hints of leather, cedar and tomato leaves. The palate has a ripe strawberry core with an intense tannic structure, lively freshness and great ageing potential.
