Ciabot Berton Barolo Roggeri 2013 is an attractive ruby garnet in colour, its modern style is apparent from the oaky element to the rich, dark fruit nose. Ripe, with dense and powerful dark-toned fruit layered with coffee and chocolate notes and big, but ripe, tannins. This Barolo will benefit considerably from five years of ageing, but like many 2013's it is already enjoyable with robust food.

From James Suckling’s website:
This is very classy for the vintage with a beautiful core of fruit and tannins. Very refined. Full body and very rich but all in balance. Beautiful wine for the vintage. Better in 2019. 93 Points, 01/16
From Antonio Galloni’s vinous.com:
Dark red cherry, plum, mint, spice and liquorice overtones flow from the 2013 Barolo Roggeri. Deep, fleshy and impeccably balanced, the 2013 possesses gorgeous harmony and class. All the elements fall into place in a sexy, supple Barolo to drink now and over the next handful of years. Drink 2019-2023. 91 Points, 10/16
