What a wine! This is a fantastic Corton Charlemagne that has loads of life ahead of it but is wonderful for drinking now as well. Try to keep a bottle or two back as it will amply reward you. The nose is of baked apple with some citrus notes behind and also a faint whiff of cinnamon. Powerful yet elegant on the palate , it really demonstrates Chardonnay at its absolute best when grown in the limestone soils of Burgundy. A true wine of terroir, this is built for fine fish or poultry and will live for 2 or 3 decades is well cellared.
