This bright, fruity and lively Cru Beaujolais has had no sulphur added during its production and thus it has great purity. It has however not seen oxygen on its journey and thus it takes a few minutes to really open up, but when it does, by jove, what a great wine. It's packed with bright, cherry and bramble fruit with such freshness it really leaps from the glass. It's a perfect partner to grilled red meats but  more especially a fine chicken or guinea fowl. Do be sure to store it in a cool place.

The Beaujolais is an area that we really love and even though many wines can be on the lighter side, they always have great character and charm. This is no exception and delivers great fruit flavours on the palate, but it's backed by a decent tannin structure and a nice clip of acidity making it a wonderful food wine.

Chiroubles is one of the smallest cru Beaujolais and it's also one of the highest lying vineyards, thus giving a longer growing season and a wine that has excellent freshness.
