Domaine De La Coume Du Roy Maury Tradition has a deep ruby/garnet hue. The nose offers ripe cherry, prune and plum skin aromas, slightly savoury, deeply vinous and rich. Sweet but fresh on the palate, a warm spiciness and a soft earthiness add extra dimensions to the bright berry fruit. Fresh acidity ensures that it isn't too sweet and the finish is very long and not at all cloying.

This Domaine De La Coume Du Roy Maury is made from the fruit of 20-50 year old Grenache Noir vines, planted in vineyards of black schist soils with a southern and southeastern exposure. Yields were 24 hectolitres per litre.

After harvesting, the grapes were destemmed and, after a few days of maceration, were gently pressed in a pneumatic bladder press. Fortification stopped the fermentation, and the wine was matured for 17 months in vat before being bottled with a residual sugar level of 98g/l.
