Domaine Du P'tit Paradis Moulin-A-Vent is dark garnet, with floral (rose, iris) and spiced cherry aromas on the nose. Similarly on the palate, bright fruit flavours mingle with cigar box spice and meaty, forest floor and truffley notes that indicate a degree of development. With plenty of stuffing in the finish, this Moulin-À-Vent will continue to develop over the next 5 years or so, resembling the style of a Côte d'Or red ever more closely.

Denise Margerand's vineyard holdings in Chénas and in Moulin-À-Vent constitute 1.48 hectares of her 3.45 hectare total. With only 4,000 bottles of Chénas produced each year and an only slightly higher 4,500 bottles of this Moulin-À-Vent available every vintage, it's hardly surprising that the care and attention Denise lavishes upon these wines is evident in every glass. Seventy five year old Gamay vines grow in the manganese-rich, crumbly granite soils around Romanèche-Thorins' famous windmill, giving the full bodied, structured and vigorous style of Beaujolais that this king of the crus is renowned for.
