Original price £18.40
Current price £16.56

Domaine Vrignaud Chablis is a pale yellow in colour with lime tints. Ripe citrus mixes with aromas of white flowers on the nose. In the mouth, there is what the French describe as a lovely nervosité from the acidity and slatey minerality, highlighting the ripe citrus fruit and the dry, delicately floral freshness. Due to the frost and hail problems in Chablis in the 2017 harvest, prices are very high. If you would like to consider an alternative wine of similar style and quality, have a look at the Macon Peronne from Domaine du Bicheron.

Domaine Vrignaud Chablis is produced from six different vineyard sites - La Bralée, Champréaux, Chasse Loup, Etang, Chemin Des Chaumes and Les Usages - all of which have soils of Kimmeridgean clay. The vines average 27 years of age and produce high quality fruit packed with mineral notes and lively acidity. The parcels of grapes are vinified separately and every vat is tasted before blending to produce the best possible wine. The predominant characters of this Chablis cuvée are supplied by the Champréaux vineyard - minerality and delicacy - and the La Bralée vineyard - roundness and notes of cool fruit.
