La Rose De Labegorce is ageworthy and elegant in style, not at all overly exuberant. Although full of rich and dark fruit, freshness and precision are the watchwords here. Very fine grained tannins and a lick of oak balances a saline mineral quality and soft spices. A lovely example of perfumed and graceful Margaux.

La Rose De Labégorce is the excellent second wine of Château Labégorce, with all the tell-tale elegance you'd expect from the Margaux appellation. A blend 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, it was aged in French oak for 15 months and, although drinking nicely now, it will continue to improve over the next five or six years.
