Christian Seely of AXA Millésimes has said that "with Lions De Suduiraut we try to select light, bright and fruity parcels of grapes with fresh citrussy elements for the blend, with the aim of making a younger, more approachable Sauternes. Or more approachable by the younger." The bright gold label of Lions De Suduiraut is another break with the usually restrained Sauternes packaging, using a label which features the rampant lions of the château’s crest.

An ideal introduction to Sauternes, this wine has been specifically designed to reveal the pleasures of the appellation. With a blending style that is absolutely unique, this wine is more velvety, fresh and mineral than other wines in the Suduiraut range. It offers a more creative profile, modern and easily approachable, it is an ideal complement to any social or festive occasion or as an apéritif.

From JamesSuckling.com:
A tangy, lively white with sliced apple, cooked pear and honey. Full body, very sweet. Spicy, fruity and lively. Closed and beautiful. Try in 2018. 93 Points

From Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages:
Gunpowder and ash to start, which does blow off slowly, leaving sweet notes of apple pie. Dense, baked apple and pear, opulent and honeyed without heaviness. A slight metallic note, which adds interest rather than detracting from the whole. Orange peel. Tight long finish. Good Value. Drink 2015-2018. 16.5 Points
