Maison Champy Pernand-Vergelesses 2007 is pale gold with primrose highlights. The nose opens with fine lemon citrus notes tempered by a flinty smokiness. Clean, fresh and powerful on the palate, with notes of white fruit and subtle suggestions of mint, basil and saline minerality that are enhanced by the well-judged use of nutty new oak.
