The hard limestone soils of Santenay's Gravières vineyard are perfectly suited to the Pinot Noir, and the 35 year old vines have certainly made a good home here. As is the case across the Maison Chanzy range, Jean Baptiste Jessiaume's sympathetic winemaking style was employed here and the result is a red Santenay with wonderful fruit flavours and plenty of backbone.
