Lambrusco Grasparossa Di Castelvetro is both the smallest of the Lambrusco wine producing areas, located south of the town of Modena, and the name of a grape variety used to make its wine. The wine of this area is typically dry and full bodied with a deep purplish-red colouring. Grasparossa produces the most tannic Lambrusco.

Made from the Lambrusco Grassparossa (60%) and Lancellotta grapes, this is proper Lambrusco. The two grape varieties are vinified seperately with a skin maceration for 7 and 10 days respectively. The resultant wine is then refermented in a pressurised tank for 60 days before bottling.
