Sipp Mack Riesling Grand Cru Rosacker is developing well already. This is a textured, steely, mouthwatering and very mineral wine that also has rich, honeyed stone fruits giving the wine weight and density. Baked apple, fennel and smokey notes, along with a racy acidity, lend freshness and spice. It should age very well.

Named after the wild roses that grow along its border, the Grand Cru Rosacker vineyard extends to the north of Hunawihr over a surface of 26.18 hectares. The vineyards face east-south-east at an altitude of between 260 and 330 metres. The soil, a heavy, grey limestone with intertwined layers of marl (calcareous clay), is very rich in calcium and magnesium. Sipp Mack cultivates 2.10 hectares of Riesling Grand Cru Rosacker.

In its youth, Riesling Rosacker has a racy, firm temperament with a sharp, peppery aroma that mellows with age. The wine reveals its full potential over time, expanding in depth, unveiling complex, yet subtle mineral flavors, which are characteristic of Rieslings from great terroirs. Riesling from the Grand Cru Rosacker vineyard in Hunawihr represents the height of gastronomic balance and can easily be aged for 15 years or longer.
