Tab 2Teso La Monja Victorino transmits the power of Tinta De Toro (Tempranillo) with subtlety and freshness. The Teso La Monja project was started in 2007 with vineyards in Valdefinjas, Toro and Villabuena on typically sandy, rocky soils that provide good drainage. The low yielding, ungratfted Tinta De Toro vines give wines of huge concentration and complexity.
From Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
The palate is full-bodied, spicy and demonstrative in the mouth, the tannins broader and more assertive than the 2010. If you prefer more hedonistic wines I would opt for the 2009, although the 2010 offers more finesse and composure. Drink 2014-2020. 91 Points.
