Walk On The White Side Mixed Case

It’s officially summer, despite what the weather forecasters might tell us. As we look out of the window the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and all is well with the world. The only thing that could help us to enjoy this lovely weather even more would be if we had six great white wines chilled and ready to be drunk when we got home. Coincidentally, that’s the theme of this mixed case: a collection of refreshing and interesting white wines that help you to wander off the well-trodden path of your everyday favourites without fear of losing your way. Let us metaphorically hold your hand as we take you on a journey beyond Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and all of the other usual suspects.

What’s in this introduction to the wider world of wonderful whites, we hear you ask? Paul Cluver’s Gewurztraminer is a fresh, zippy introduction to this perfumed and seductive grape. Ernie Els’ Big Easy White is pure Chenin Blanc, packed with mouthwatering tropical fruits. Tenuta La Marchesa’s White Label Gavi, a surprisingly rich version of what can all-too-often be a rather lean style of white. Terra De Asorei's Albariño is silky smooth and redolent of stone fruits. Sipp Mack Pinot Blanc is made from an often underrated grape variety, but as a cousin of Pinot Gris (Grigio in Italy) and Pinot Noir you ignore its lovely fresh, white fruit characters at your peril. Lastly is Château Saint-Roch’s Côtes Du Rhône Blanc is a lovely surprise – everyone knows the red version of Côtes Du Rhône but the lesser known white is a rich, floral wine that’s great with cheese. Did someone suggest a picnic...?

The 6 bottle case contains one bottle of each wine; the 12 bottle case contains two bottles of each wine.
