Château Sansonnet
Located at the east end of Saint-Émilion, on the highest point of the plateau, Château Sansonnet is neighbour to a number of the great classified growth Bordeaux properties. The Marquis Francois D'Aulan Suarez, former owner of Pieper Heidsieck, acquired the chateau in 1999 and invested a great deal of money into renovating the winery and vineyards. In 2009, the Lefévère family, owners of a construction company and of Chateau Tour-Robert in Pomerol, bought the estate, appointing Marie-Bénédicte Lefévère-Leymarie as its head. In 2012, Château Sansonnet was promoted to the tight circle of Saint-Émilion's Grands Crus Classés. This distinction was just reward for all of the hard work of Marie-Bénédicte and her team.
