Sancerre and Pouilly Fume
The Loire Valley is a favourite holiday destination for many Brits with some wonderful places to visit. I have great memories of visiting some of the Chateaux one summer with the gardens at Villandry being particularly impressive.
In general, the wines of the Loire Valley are delicious in the summer and in particular, the great Sauvignon Blancs from either side of the river at Sancerre and Pouilly sur Loire are some of the world’s greatest examples.
